:)

Hello!
So today we went to an Orphange here in Santa Cruz, and a couple days before that we went to a transition home where the children go from the orphange after they turn 18. After the orphange we went to the market place were we picked up some nick-knacks. I myself found a nice Al-paca sweater, although too hot to wear here, im sure it will be delightful back in cold Canada :)
We fly out to Miami tommorow, we are all tired, but Im not quite so sure Im ready to leave yet!
We will see you soon, and look forward to telling you all about our time here!

What an experience. How thankful I feel to live in in Canada with freedoms we take for granted.

We're in Santa Cruz!!

We left the TWR site where we've been staying since the beginning of our stay.  We have really enjoyed our time out in the country and now we are in the city - over 2 million people.  God has been good - no one has been sick, and we've heard wonderful stories from many Mennonite people about how God has led them to Himself, in spite of persecution from those around them.  We have painted 2 buildings, mudded, taped, dry walled, made trusses, put in drawer rollers, worked in the kitchen with Erna, met some really great people, and have had a great time  God is good!!

What an awesome experince...lots of fellowship with team and missionaries ...lots of work accomplished ...encountering different critters in our bathroom and ...experiencing God's work in Bolivia.
Oh yes, we are also experincing lots of GOOD FOOD!  Erna is an excellent cook and always feeding us delicious meals!  I'm in charge of collecting all of Erna's recipes.  The highlight has been visiting persecuted families in the "Old Colony" last night.  It was their weekly Bible Study and our team provided the food for the group (I counted approximately 50 people in attendance).  We sang a couple of songs, handed out shoes and listened to their testimony.   Quite an eye-opener!  My turn is over now...gotta go.

the first cool day (27C,nice breeze)

After an  incredibile bible study at Tres Cruzes last night, a Mennonite Colony one hour east and north towards Brazil, where we passed out shoes to many young kids (25+kids), cooked a sausage meal over an open fire (which we provided), we are working thru our projects and accomplishing an incrediblel amount. Each mini group has built steel rafters, painted the ministry centre and completely gyprocked, taped and painted a small house.
Thank you for praying for us and keeping us in your thoughts.
Blessings
Dave B and the rest of the Team

Hey gang!!  Hope it's cold and snowing there!!  It's  all melted here!!  37 degrees and humid today.  We're painting up a storm, and the paint dries almost before the brush hits the wall.  Hanging from the rafters painting the ministry center with an incredibly talented team and lovong every minute.  Felllowship as well is asbolutely amazing. Of course it is serious all the time - no joking - just work.  Ha Ha.  Keep praying for us.  Bye for now.

Krista's UPDATE FROM Saturday

Buenos Dias!
The team met this morning at 3:30am, and then proceeded to go to the airport. The Lord blessed us with a safe trip to the airport, and we boarded our plane to Dallas, Fortworth at about 7:00 am
I just learned that we will be traveling for about 24 hours all together!
This morning before we left we sang “He is able, more then able" and that is what we as a team truly believe. The Lord has already blessed us, and we are so excited to see what he has planned for us!
Psalm 90:12 “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Hello, Hello!
The last time I was outside it was -10 with a foot and a half of snow, 31 hours later WE ARRIVED in Bolivia. It was about 30 degrees, and humid. We were able to get through customs very quickly, and are only missing 2 out of 28 bags, we are hoping those will come tomorrow!
Sorry for the delay on blog postings, but due to the internet cable being cut in Santa Cruz, we were not able to post this right away.  At this time we are staying at the Radio Trans Mundial (RTM) station, and this is where we will be working for the greater part of our time here. I will keep you posted on the things we are working on also.
God is good, and has kept us all safe and healthy. Were so tuckered out, but after a restful nights sleep, we look forward to start our work tomorrow!

Buenos Noches!

Hace Calor! (Its hot) Yesterday it was about 35 degrees today it is a little bit cooler, but more humid. Everyone is enjoying it here. We started our work projects yesterday. We are dry walling, mudding, painting and making metal trusses for the church roof. We got the 2 bags yesterday that we were missing, and as far as we know, everything we brought down here has made it. Today we are continuing to work, we have almost all of the drywall up in the one house, the trusses are coming along, and we are starting paint coat #2 on the other building!
